Nose piercing for your eyes
New Glasses Require Piercing Bridge of Nose - Yahoo! News
Crazy! This is absolutely insane! You couldn't pay me enough money to pierce my upper nose so glasses can be attached to either side. Speaking as someone who's had multiple upper and lower ear piercings and an eyebrow piercing, this kind of piercing is just asking for trouble. One thing I didn't realize when I got my eyebrow piercing was how tricky it became to sleep and change. Think about it. Every time I pulled my shirt over my head I risked getting that damn thing in my eyebrow caught. Now imagine if you're shopping and trying things on with a hole through your nose to hold up your eyeglasses. Since the lenses become a surgical extension of the rod through your nose, every single time you try a different top on you risk ripping the whole freakin' thing out. Yikes! One thing I can say in this piercing's favor is that it's functional and quite practical, unlike the JewelEye that I did a story on at Discovery Channel a while back. JewelEye is a piece of stainless steel jewelry that people are getting surgically implanted in their eyes.
So on the one hand, it is practical. You wouldn't have to worry about losing your glasses once they're attached to your face. But on the other hand, I now have a big scare in my eyebrow from my former piercing. If you ask me? I sure as hell wouldn't want one between my eyes either.
